Maureen will be holding a Short Story Workshop as a Special Event at Page 158 Books on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

The cost is $15 at the door. 

Have you always wanted to write short stories but didn’t know where to begin? Maureen Sherbondy will teach an introductory workshop on short story writing. This fun class will introduce participants to elements of the short story, giving students the tools needed to get started. By the end of the session, participants will have an outline or partial draft of a short story.

Topics will include:

1. How to begin a story

2. The arc of a story

3. How to write interesting characters

4. How to write dialogue

5. How to end a story
